Karobar

Where Karobar is going

Karobar started as a simple idea: post job ads where young people already are. It has become a direct line to a generation that job boards never reached. This is what we learned, and what we want to build next.

The problem

  • They live on Instagram

Much of Gen Z will never build a LinkedIn profile or scroll a job site. They find opportunities in their feed, often through a friend.

  • Hiring is often unfair

Ads filter by age and gender, leave out pay and hours, and many people never hear back. Women face extra obstacles at work.

  • CVs don't do them justice

Young people have real skills, but no one shows them how to present them. Generic templates miss what local employers look for.

What we built, with almost no budget

  • 22,500Instagram followers
  • 874posts, from job ads to advice
  • 5+ yearsalongside job seekers and employers
  • $0cost to job seekers and employers, ever

How it works today

  1. One DMAn employer sends the ad on Instagram. No forms, no accounts.
  2. One postWe turn it into a clear, complete ad, without age or gender filters.
  3. SharedFollowers pass it on to friends who need it.
  4. One archiveJob seekers build a CV in a few taps; it lands in one structured archive.
  5. A matchWhen a job comes in, we can introduce the right person in seconds.

Privacy by design

Every step toward AI starts from one rule: it has to help people without anyone's data being passed around casually. These are the principles we are building on:

  • Clear opt-in. Nothing about you is used for matching or for improving our tools unless you said yes, and you can change your mind.
  • CVs are never public or sold. They stay in a private archive, never on a feed and never in anyone else's database.
  • You choose what employers see. A candidate decides what goes to an employer; nothing is shared behind their back.
  • Only anonymous patterns improve the tools. The CV builder learns from aggregated, anonymised data, never from one person's file.
  • Collect less, delete on request. We only ask for what helps someone find work, and remove it when they ask.
  • A person makes the introduction. AI can suggest a match; someone on our team checks it before anyone is contacted.
  • Kept safe, explained plainly. Data is protected and access is limited, with a short, plain note on what we keep and why.

Roadmap

These are plans, not live features.

  1. Now

    Instagram, made simple

Job ads by DM, a free CV builder with a one-page PDF, a private CV archive and guides on fair, respectful work.

  2. Next

    Social channels connected to AI

Ads that arrive by DM are drafted, checked for missing pay or hours, and matched to the archive automatically, so the team spends less time on manual work and more on people.

  3. Next

A CV builder that knows local hiring

General AI tools write generic CVs. Karobar's builder will learn, city by city and country by country, what our own community of job seekers and hiring managers says actually works there.

  4. Later

    Karobar Podcast

Honest conversations about work, careers and workplace culture for young people, once funding and support allow.

Karobar is free. Always.

Job seekers pay nothing and employers pay nothing. So how does it keep going? Only through projects that come to Reihanet Studio along the way. Many businesses saw how Karobar helped them and later trusted the studio with their own projects.

  • Free for everyone
  • Income only from studio projects
  • We never sell or misuse anyone's data
